Savannah based art teacher and artist, Christine Ann Powell is in love with every form of art, and all things related to the sea. Drawn to children’s natural creative spirits, Christine teaches art to all ages and thrives in creating an environment where students are able to discover their talents and potential.
In her own artwork, Christine paints and draws any subject with a face. She is passionate about capturing personality and uses charcoal, pastels, ink, watercolor and acrylic paint to create with. Christine’s artwork includes fish, birds, reptiles, insects, dogs and people. From serious to silly, and everything in between, Christine focuses on portraits, caricatures and animals in their natural habitats. Living on the coast, her acrylic paintings are heavily inspired by the ocean and the creatures that live in and around it. Christine is currently in the process of illustrating her first children’s book.
